Itinerary | 5th - 8th October 2018

Friday Arrive Toulouse airport (transfers to Vélo Le Closier) – build bikes – 3 course evening meal.

Guided ride directly from the house heading into the Val de Louron valley and town of Genos for coffee stop before climbing the 15 hairpins to the Col d’Azet (part of stage 17 of this year’s Tour de France) – descend into St Lary soulan where you can find lunch.  After lunch return down the valley to the house for afternoon tea/coffee and homemade cake and later a 3 course evening meal.

Around 57 miles – 1595 mtrs climbing

Take a relaxed breakfast before setting off on guided ride taking in the Col d’Aspin which was climbed as part of this year’s stage 19 of the Tour de France. After taking pictures at the summit we descend to Payolle for lunch.  After lunch we head past Lac Payolle and up to Hourquette and then descend into Ancizan and along the valley back home. Once again afternoon tea and final night’s evening meal.

Final day’s breakfast and possibly a quick escapade into the Barronies a beautiful and rather unknown to those other than the locals. This ride is around 1.5 - 2 hours but should not be underestimated. However, each climb is rewarded by the most wonderful descent the longest climb being around 5km. Once back at base dismantle your bikes and pack them in preparation for the return transfer to Toulouse.  Quick lunch before saying good bye to the Pyrenees and transfer to Toulouse.
